Hoover Therapists for Trauma Using Advanced Techniques for Trauma and PTSD
Our Promise
1.
A Local, Clinical Focus
While our expert articles are an international resource [2, 3], our practice is 100% local. We are a team of licensed therapists in a physical Hoover office, dedicated to serving our neighbors in Hoover, Homewood, Mountain Brook, and Pelham.
A Commitment to Your Care
We want you to find the right therapist, even if it isn’t us. If we aren’t the best fit for your specific needs, we will gladly refer you to another trusted provider in the Birmingham community. Your healing is our first priority.
2.
Personalization
We don’t believe there is a formula for growth, health or healing. We want to help you find the unique way you can find your unique self. Every Taproot therapist is trained in multiple therapy modalities so that we can provide you with the biggest bag of tools to find what’s right for you. We can also refer you to a trusted ketamine provider, trauma-informed physical therapist, or another specialist in the community.
3.
Depth-Based Approach
We don’t want to offer you a bandaid for recovery from mental health challenges. Taproot Therapy wants to get to the root your symptoms. We specializes in brain based medicine and depth psychology backed approaches to healing.
These techniques promote healing in the deep brain instead of covering up the symptoms of past trauma or abuse, or managing them with behavioral techniques.
4.
Community
We want you to find the right therapist in Birmingham even if it is not at Taproot. We are happy to recommend another community provider that fits your needs even if we don’t have a counselor on staff that’s right for you.
Feel free to contact us with a question about mental health even if you are not sure how therapy works. The best way to prevent mental health problems is to be part of an informed, aware and supportive community. You can reach out online, give us a call, or visit our Birmingham AL location to get started.
No one chooses to suffer from anxiety, panic, or depression. No one chooses to struggle with anger management, addiction, or relationship problems. Unfortunately, the solutions to these problems are not always clear.
Your Path to Healing at Our Hoover Clinic
A clear, compassionate, and confidential process for our Birmingham-area clients.
Confidential First Contact
When you call or fill out our secure form, you’ll connect with our compassionate intake coordinator. This is a free, no-pressure 15-minute consultation to understand your needs and see if we’re the right fit for you.
An Expert Therapist Match
We don’t just assign you a random therapist. We carefully match you with the specialist on our team best suited for your unique needs—whether it’s a trauma expert for EMDR, a Jungian therapist for depth work, or a child counselor for your family.
Your First Session
Your first session at our Hoover office (or via secure teletherapy) is a safe space to share your story. Your therapist will listen and collaborate with you on a clear plan, ensuring you feel understood, respected, and hopeful from day one. You set the pace.
