What Is Taproot Therapy – How Can We Help
Taproot Therapy is a collective of therapists and psychologists who share resources to create a more efficient way to offer services for self discovery, growth and healing in Birmingham. We offer the most cutting edge neuroscientifically backed treatment for PTSD, trauma and anxiety. Brainspotting, EMDR, somatic therapies for trauma and IFS, Jungian therapy, meditation and mindfulness are just a few of our clinicians modalities used for helping people. We believe that therapy is about more than reducing symptoms. Taproot Therapy Collective does not use “one size fits all” therapy models. Instead we try to personally understand each patient and help reconnect them with the journey that their life calls them toward. We make no presumptions about who you are or where you are going. The clinicians at Taproot Therapy Collective only want to help you find yourself and to find the way to where your journey calls you.
“Until you make the unconscious conscious it will direct your life and you will call it fate.
– Carl Jung
Start Finding Yourself
Often times symptoms bring us into therapy. Dissociation, anxiety, depression, anger, or relationship problems can make you start looking for a therapist of some disorder. Taproot Therapy Collective can help you heal all of these symptoms and more. Often the real gift of therapy doesn’t come from the things that we get rid of, but the things that we gain. Most of us live our life in a mental fog that we can’t see out of. We go through our routine just surviving while not being alive. Therapy can often help us clear this fog. Therapy can allow you to start to feel yourself and your life in a healthy way. Often therapy can help you remember what it was like to be excited about life and energized for the future. Taproot Therapy Collective can help you learn to listen to the real authentic you, and help you discover your unlived life. Often our clients are able to reconnect with their families and rebuild relationships scarred by grief, anxiety, and depression.

Depth-Based Approach
We don’t want to offer you a bandaid for recovery from mental health challenges. Taproot Therapy wants to get to the root your symptoms. We specializes in brain based medicine and depth psychology backed approaches to healing.
These techniques promote healing in the deep brain instead of covering up the symptoms of past trauma or abuse, or managing them with behavioral techniques.
4.
Community
We want you to find the right therapist in Birmingham even if it is not at Taproot. We are happy to recommend another community provider that fits your needs even if we don’t have a counselor on staff that’s right for you.
Feel free to contact us with a question about mental health even if you are not sure how therapy works. The best way to prevent mental health problems is to be part of an informed, aware and supportive community. You can reach out online, give us a call, or visit our Birmingham AL location to get started.
No one chooses to suffer from anxiety, panic, or depression. No one chooses to struggle with anger management, addiction, or relationship problems. Unfortunately, the solutions to these problems are not always clear.
