About Haley
Therapy for Women’s Issues, Parenting and Expecting Mothers
Approach to Therapy
Haley believes that intentionality is critical in many areas of life, but particularly in the
therapeutic setting. She focuses on ensuring that her therapeutic environment is calm and
comforting, making it a safer space for her clients to share their experiences. With her strong
listening skills, she approaches each client with empathy, welcoming their true selves.
Haley sees therapy as a mutual relationship rather than a one-sided experience, working
collaboratively with clients to find meaningful and effective ways to process their journeys.
Mind/Body Connection
Haley strongly believes that trauma is not only stored in the mind, but also embedded in the
body. This perspective highlights her practices emphasis on combined mind, body, and spiritual
care. Haley will soon offer Brainspotting, a psychotherapy technique that utilizes eye movements
to help clients process difficult emotions and traumatic experiences. Haley also understands that
safety is vital for effectively processing distressing events. Therefore, she prioritizes building
rapport and establishing security in the therapeutic relationship before delving into deep trauma
work. She also employs a strength-based perspective and utilizes artistic expression to assist
clients in navigating their trauma.
Therapeutic Offerings
Haley currently offers individual and group therapy, in-person and online. She is particularly
passionate about group therapy for women, creating a safe and supportive space for clients to
share their experiences. Haley also has a background working with college students and young
adults learning to navigate adulthood, including independent life skills and the many transitions that accompany it.
In addition, Haley understands the extreme burnout that accompanies individuals who work in helping professions and those caring for a child with a disability. These
roles intrinsically produce higher rates of stress and burnout. Haley’s compassionate approach
ensures that clients feel understood and accepted. She aims to foster self-love and a sense of
connection, reminding individuals that they are not alone in their struggles.
Personal and Professional Experience
Haley acknowledges the importance of lived experiences and professional training,
understanding that each plays a vital role in providing a well-rounded perspective. In addition to
being a trained therapist currently under supervision, she is a mother, intimate partner violence
survivor advocate, birth trauma survivor, and parent advocate for a child with disabilities.
Having navigated various community systems personally and professionally, she deeply
understands the challenges many clients face. She is here to offer compassionate support as they
navigate these processes and connect them to vital community resources as needed.

Haley was born in Birmingham, Alabama, and currently considers the Birmingham community
her home. In her personal life, Haley enjoys reading, writing, antiquing, cooking, drinking good
